Working with the Pattern that Connects

Transformational moments in the helping relation can be both elusive and surprising. We all recognize when a major breakthrough happens. Ideally, we can create the preconditions for these pivotal moments. Yet so often they surprise us, like an unexpected gift.

In Bali, people speak of the ‘visible’ and ‘invisible’ worlds – the world of appearances and a deeper dimension beyond it. Pattern gives an immediate opening to the invisible, because, in pattern, observation and inference meet. We notice something, which suggests something else that is likely also to be present or true.

Considering ourselves and our world, we can infer, not only that pattern connects all things, but there is a connecting pattern running through all things, from coaches and clients to communities and cosmos.

As with all pattern, this connecting pattern has two faces: visible and invisible. It points to characteristics present in the unfolding of people and planets. And at the same time, it is unexpressed, immanent, in the mysterious unfolding of things in time.

In this workshop, we consider how three facets of the ‘pattern that connects’ – being, becoming, and love – can be invisibly present together in our work with people, allowing what was unexpressed to emerge in a ‘flow’ where past and future, you and I, meet in an unfolding present.

In such a meeting, we engage in a conversation, that is both focused and free, open and directed, both natural and artful – a conversation that matters.

In the crucible of love, what was necessarily so can naturally and effortlessly emerge, revealing what has been waiting to come to be.

Join us in this invitation to open, at least a little, to a new level of mastery.

This workshop will be of value to members of the helping professions and provide helpful background to those contemplating a deep dive into the Dynamics of Deep Transformation 14-31 August in Smolyan, Bulgaria.

Expect some theory, some practice, a live example, with some insight and integration.

Please note

This webinar will be of particular interest to practising coaches, counsellors, therapists, and  psychologists. It will be of interest to those interested in exploring such work further and to potential participants in our 2-week Dynamics of Deep Transformation diploma training programme to be held in Bulgaria, 14-31 August 2020
